Clash

Dear Colleagues,
On behalf of the Lakeshore High School Titan Band, I would like to invite you and your band to participate in our 4th Annual “Clash at the Coliseum” Marching Contest. The event is scheduled to take place on Saturday, October 22nd at the Titan Coliseum located at Lakeshore High School in Mandeville, Louisiana. Our goal is to provide your ensemble with the best experience possible!

Why choose our show? Lakeshore High School was built just 13 years ago and located deep in the forests of Mandeville – free from any and all distractions and traffic issues. Our state of the art facilities includes a turf field, covered and lighted walkways, cemented travel paths and ample indoor warm-up areas in case of bad weather. The layout of our school allows for the optimal show experience for both performers and spectators.

The entry fee for each band will be $250 and can be made payable to “Lakeshore High School.” Entry fee and online registration are due no later than October 7th. A confirmation letter will be mailed/emailed to all registered schools as soon as the performance list is compiled. Performance times will be scheduled by class and earliest postmark/time stamp. The earliest bands submitting entries will perform latest in their respective class.

Our adjudication team will be assigned through the Central States Judges’ Association. The panel will consist of three band judges (1 Music, 1 Visual, 1 General Effect), a percussion judge, and a guard/auxiliary judge. Awards will be given for the top scores of each class for the following: Music, Visual, General Effect, Percussion, Color Guard/Auxiliary, and Overall Score. There will also be an Overall Outstanding Percussion and Overall Outstanding Color Guard/Auxiliary award given as well as naming the Overall Reserve Grand Champion and Grand Champion. The process to decide Grand Champion will be based on the combination of ALL scores, including percussion and guard/auxiliary.

Band classification will be based upon WIND size only. Bands will be categorized as follows:

Class A | 1-35 Winds • Class 2A | 36-55 Winds • Class 3A | 56-77 Winds Class 4A | 78-100 Winds • Class 5A |100+ Winds
