– Summer

Join us for a FREE summer band workshop offered at Lakeshore High School for students entering the 6th, 7th and 8th grades in the 2024-2025 school year. We are even offering color guard (flags) as well – no experience necessary!

The workshop will be held from Monday, June 3 through Thursday, June 6 from 8:00am-12:00pm and is for students in St. Tammany Parish Public Schools that feed into Lakeshore High School. We will open the band room at 8:00am and all students should be picked up no later than 12:30pm.

Interested students will work on rhythm and counting, proper embouchure, pitch and tone quality, posture, and also play some great music while working with Mr. Byers and some of the outstanding students from the LHS Titan Band.

We will also play music and band-related games as well as team-building activities. We will watch music videos about different instruments and styles of music.

LHS Titan Band members will work with the students under the guidance of Mr. Byers and play along with the younger students giving pointers about playing their instruments and having fun with music. We hope you and your student will take advantage of this opportunity to enhance your child’s music education.

Future Titan Registration

I hereby request that you accept the above-mentioned camper in the Lakeshore High School Future Titan Band Camp from June 3rd through June 7th, 2024. In consideration of this application, I hereby release Lakeshore High School and its employees from all claims on injuries which may be sustained by my child while attending the Lakeshore High School Future Titan Band Camp, and I agree to indemnify Lakeshore High School and its employees for any claim which may hereafter be presented by my child as a result of such injuries.

​In the event that I am unavailable for purposes of providing parental consent, I authorize the staff, hospital or emergency care center affiliated with Lakeshore High School to provide such care that includes routine diagnostic procedures and medical treatment as necessary to my minor child. I understand that consent does not include major surgical procedures and is only valid during the dates of camp.
